VFW brings groups together!

The VFW hosted Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner” held on November 2, 2012 at the National Press Club.  The VFW arranged for 30 Marines who had moved on from their injuries and just completed an USMC Wounded Warrior Cycling Camp at MCB Quantico to join the injured service members from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center-Bethesda for the dinner.

The United States Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment “USMC WWR” provides and facilitates assistance to wounded, ill and injured Marines, and sailors attached to or in direct support of Marine units and their family members in order to assist them as they return to duty or transition to civilian life. The Regiment supports active, reserve and veteran Marines.

VFW’s BBD Service Officer Mark Potter welcomes all to dinner

Jenny Sullivan, Program Manager for the Warrior Athlete Reconditioning Program helps with passing out goodie bags provided by Norine Fuller, a devoted Aleethia supporter who has donated goodie bags and more since January 2004.

Bernie Richardson and daughter, Kayla were the sponsors of the “Weekly Friday Night Dinner” door prizes. Thanks Bernie for the wonderful autograph sports memorabilia and more!!!
