USA and Australian Military enjoy an evening of friendship!

Ambassador Kim Beazley hosted the November 30, 2012 “Friday Night Dinner” at the Australian Embassy. Ambassador Beazley welcomes the injured service members, their families and invited guests.

General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff thanks Ambassador Beazley and the Australian Embassy Staff for hosting the dinner.

Cameron demonstrates the didgeridoo, a wind instrument developed by Indigenous Australians of northern Australia around 1,500 years ago. It is sometimes described as a natural wooden trumpet. Cameron’s ancestry is from the Kuku-Yalanji and Ba-Barum tribes of Northern Queensland. Cameron asked for volunteers who would like to try the didgeridoo. It made for some interesting “sounds.”

Major Dave Mc Evoy invites all guests to join in an Australian Quiz!
