Aleethia Foundation wishes to extend a huge THANK YOU to William Grant & Sons and ALL the USA participating distributors in DC MD DE VA SC AL KY NC OK TN TX LA for their continuous support for our troops!

Since October 2003, over 62,000 meals have been provided to service members and their families who have participated in Aleethia Foundation’s “Friday Night Dinner” program. The wounded/injured/ill service members are not only facing challenging medical problems but many are far away from their families and friends support. A night out from the hospital helps them and any traveling family members to get away from their health issues for a short time, relax and form new friendships. In addition to the Friday Night Dinners, they are helped by meal cards to local restaurants, assistive technology, hyperbaric therapy, tickets to events and assistance with basic needs. This all helps in their healing and rehabilitation process.

“Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum,” named to honor the life and legacy of Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins. Norman Collins was a Navy veteran who built his reputation tattooing sailors and soldiers in WWII-era Honolulu, where he established himself and his legendary tattoo parlor. “Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum” continues to honor Norman Collins and his legacy through programs and partnerships “that honor the man and what he stood for.”

Hal Koster, Founder and Executive Director of the Aleethia Foundation said that “we are a volunteer organization that exists because wonderful organizations like “Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum” have shared our vision of support.”

On May 11, 2018, Virginia ABC Board Chairman Jeffrey Painter and William Grant & Sons’ District Manager of Virginia, Amy Pastrick joined us for Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner.” For the seventh consecutive year, Virginia ABC has partnered with William Grant & Sons to help support wounded/injured/ill service members through the Aleethia Foundation’s programs. For every bottle of “Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum” sold between May and August 2018 in Virginia, partial proceeds were donated to the Aleethia Foundation.

Chairman Jeffrey Painter presented his challenge coin to each wounded/injured/ill service member at the dinner.

William Grant & Sons’ District Manager of Virginia, Amy Pastrick provided some unique “Sailor Jerry” door prizes…

At the end of the evening, one of the service members made a toast in honor of the “Sailor Jerry Program” supporting the troops…

“Never above you … Never below you … Always beside you!

THANK YOU to William Grant & Sons and ALL the participating USA distributors for NINE YEARS of financial assistance to the wounded/injured/ill service members through donations to the Aleethia Foundation. With the participation of the USA distributors in the “Sailor Jerry Rum” programs, their fundraising efforts preserves the dignity of the service members so they do not have to parade in front of a camera or attend fundraising events in order to get the support they need and TRULY DESERVE!
